Managing our thoughts is the best tool for optimal well-being! When we face stress the brain’s primal response is to switch to “fight or flight” mode. In doing so, our prefrontal cortex shuts down, which dramatically slows problem solving and thought processes skills. Essentially, we are shifted into emergency gear.
